KURABITO STAY, the sake brewery hotel where you can experience the life of a brewer, is taking comprehensive measures to ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests during the extended COVID-19 pandemic, enacting strict health and hygiene standards and offering a new form of accommodation and interaction designed to avoid the “Three Cs*”
*The “Three Cs”, as defined by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, are closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings.
Providing Peace of Mind for Our Guests
At a time when travel and person-to-person interaction are being restricted due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we at KURABITO STAY have given considerable thought as to how we might best offer accommodations and a program where our guests can feel at ease.
After careful consideration, we have decided to evolve and enhance our service around three key concepts: hygiene management, health management, and avoidance of the “Three Cs”. Hygiene management encompasses thorough disinfection of our facilities, while health management involves strict testing of the health status of all staff members and guests. To avoid the “Three Cs”, we have created an environment where guests and staff can interact with each other and amongst themselves while avoiding closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings. While we regret that some of our original services can no longer be offered as they were, we believe that it is our responsibility as hosts to offer you, our guests, a safe and secure environment, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
voiding the Three Cs and Health Management: In Detail
Confirmation of International Travel
For safety purposes, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept reservations from guests who have been outside of Japan—or have been in close contact with such an individual—within two weeks (14 days) of the day prior to your check-in.
Confirmation of Recent Action
Likewise, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept reservations from guests who have attended a nightlife entertainment establishment—or have been in close contact with such an individual—within two weeks (14 days) of the day prior to your check-in.
Body Temperature Checkい
We ask that all guests take their temperature on the day before departure. If your temperature is 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, we kindly ask that you cancel. While this will involve a cancellation fee according to our accommodation policy, you may also choose to receive an accommodation ticket for a future stay (equivalent in value to the lodging fee you paid).
Request to Arrive by Private Car
We kindly ask guests—to the extent possible—to come by car, and not use public transportation. KURABITO STAY will offer free parking for this purpose.
In order to reduce close-contact interactions, we will escort you to your guest room immediately upon arrival, and conduct check-in there.
Temperature Measurement at Check-in
We will take the temperature of all guests at the time of check-in. In the event that your body temperature is 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, we regret to inform you that we cannot allow you to stay with us, in accordance with the rules of the Saku Public Health Center. (In the event that one or more of our guests’ temperature rises to 37.5 degrees Celsius or more over the course of their stay, there is a chance that we will need to cancel the program. In that event, you will be refunded any services not received.) Temperature measurement will be carried out every day.
All rooms will be ventilated regularly.
Social Distance Maintained
Meals will be served in the 1st floor community room, with proper social distance maintained between seats. Guests who wish to eat in the privacy of their own rooms may choose to do so.
During Your Stay / Sake Brewer Experience
Health and Temperature Checks
In the event that your body temperature is measured at 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, we regret to inform you that we cannot allow you to stay with us, in accordance with the rules of the Saku Public Health Center. Washing of Hands and Wearing of Facemasks
We ask that all guests wash their hands thoroughly and regularly, and wear facemasks at all times during the sake brewer experience, and when using common spaces. (We ask for all guests’ cooperation in bringing your own masks.)
We will ensure that extra distance is created between brewery staff and program participants during the sake brewing experience.
Hygiene Management: In Detail
Thorough Alcohol Disinfection
We ask that all guests disinfect their hands with alcohol spray at the time of check-in. (All guests must take off their footwear before entering the premises, and we ask for your cooperation in disinfecting your shoes as well.) Alcohol disinfectant spray stations have been set up throughout the facility.
In addition to our traditionally thorough cleaning measures, the premises and items on it (all objects that can be touched by hand) will be sprayed with alcohol disinfectant spray and wiped.
All utensils, plates, glasses, and cutlery will also be washed and disinfected.
Staff Health and Hygiene Management
All staff members will take their temperature and record their physical condition before arriving for work.
Staff will wear facemasks at all times when interacting with guests and/or carrying out their assigned duties.
At KURABITO STAY, we have adopted the above measures in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, and to ensure a healthy, sanitary environment for all of our guests. We apologize for any and all inconvenience imposed, and ask for your understanding and patience in this matter.
We will be posting additional news and updates on our homepage, so please check it for the latest information.
We offer our best wishes for your good health, and look forward to welcoming you to KURABITO STAY.
