We use burned sugi, japanese cedar for the outside walls.
It makes this place look so cool and full of Japanese sake craftsman atmosphere.

The renovation on KURABITO house is going well !! Once the Sake brewing master and his craftsman apprentices would call home for the entire period of the sake brewing season, and we are now transforming it into a “B and B”style hostel .

Our guests will be able to experience in full the spirit and philosophy of Sake brewing,staying day and night together here in which you can see the historic Sake brewery with over three centuries of history through the glass wall.

Now I can imagine that the guests and Sake brewers , local people are interacting around Japanese-style room with a big horigotatsu.
